Job Description

An opening opportunity is available for an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in vascular and general ultrasound imaging. This role involves working in a fast-paced emergency department with a focus on both ED and outpatient imaging studies. The position requires proficiency with advanced ultrasound techniques and familiarity with specific imaging equipment and electronic medical records systems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, including vascular, gynecological, and procedural imaging
  • Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Sonography)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with EPIC (EMR), Epic Radiant (RIS), and Philips iSite (PACS) systems is essential
  • Familiarity with Siemens Sequoia and Toshiba Yario 200 ultrasound equipment preferred
  • Able to work in a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays (approximately 75%), and on-call shifts

Location:Based in Concord, North Carolina, the facility is part of a vibrant healthcare community offering a stand-alone emergency department with 18 beds and outpatient imaging services. The area provides a suburban environment with access to both city amenities and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular and general ultrasound imaging procedures in the emergency and outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with department leadership for seamless patient care delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and associated radiology information systems
  • Adhere to established protocols and safety standards during all diagnostic exams
  • Participate in a comprehensive orientation program for administrative and clinical onboarding

  • Contract position with rotating shifts: Monday: 6:00 AM 3:00 PM Friday: 2:00 PM 11:00 PM Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
