<p></p><p>Head - Engineering Services Vedantas Power business is among the top private players in India in thermal power generation with an installed capacity of 4780 MW, serving various discoms and utilities, across the nation.</p><br/>- Vedanta Power operates a robust portfolio of thermal power assets across three strategic locations: Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.<br/><br/>- Located in Punjabs Mansa district, Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd.<br/><br/>- (TSPL) represents the largest private thermal power facility in North India, with an installed capacity of 1980 MW, contributing nearly 30% of the states electricity demand.<br/><br/>- Meenakshi Energy Ltd.<br/><br/>- (MEL) in Andhra Pradeshs Tirupati district has a capacity of 1000 MW, while Vedanta Ltd.<br/><br/>- Chhattisgarh Thermal Power Plant (VLCTPP) in Singhitarai village, Sakti district, is a 1200 MW coal-based thermal power plant.<br/><br/>- Together, these plants reflect Vedanta Powers commitment to powering progress through high-performance assets and regional impact.<br/><br/><b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Lead and manage all engineering services including civil, mechanical, and electrical support functions across the plant.<br/><br/>- Oversee long-term and short-term maintenance planning to ensure reliability, efficiency, and minimal downtime.<br/><br/>- Drive project planning and execution for plant upgrades, modifications, and expansions in alignment with operational goals.<br/><br/>- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal engineering protocols across all technical activities.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support plant operations through timely engineering interventions and solutions.<br/><br/>- Implement best practices in asset management, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring.<br/><br/>- Support audits, inspections, and documentation related to engineering and planning functions.<br/><br/>- Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.<br/><br/><b>Qualification & Experience:</b><br/><br/></p><p>- 12+ years of experience in engineering services and maintenance planning within thermal power plant operations.<br/><br/>- BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of plant engineering systems, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation domains.<br/><br/>- Proven expertise in maintenance planning, project execution, and resource optimization.<br/><br/>- Effective leadership and coordination skills to manage cross-functional engineering teams.</p><p></p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
