Nesco Resource is currently looking for a Vegetable Prep Assistant for our client in Ferndale, MI.
Position Summary
The Vegetable Prep Assistant is responsible for staging and preparing vegetables for processing. This includes cleaning, cutting, stemming, and chopping a variety of products such as green peppers, onions, cilantro, and jalapen os, along with other specialty ingredients as assigned.
Shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday (overtime required based on production needs).
Key Responsibilities
Lift and transfer 40–50 lb. bags of onions into bins.
Use knives to cut, chop, stem, and sort various vegetables for processing.
Operate the cilantro washing machine.
Operate a centrifuge machine to remove excess water from vegetables.
Transfer processed vegetables to the chemical sanitizing station.
