purchasing:identify reliable suppliers and source materials or products according to specifications.negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with vendors.prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions.track and ensure on-time delivery of goods.maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.vendor development:identify and qualify new vendors based on cost, quality, capacity, and delivery criteria.evaluate vendor performance using key metrics (price, quality, delivery, responsiveness).conduct supplier audits and assessments in coordination with quality and technical teams.work with vendors to improve performance, solve supply issues, and implement cost-saving initiatives.develop long-term strategic partnerships with high-performing vendors.coordination & communication:coordinate with internal departments (production, inventory, quality control, etc.) to understand procurement needs.resolve supplier-related issues and complaints quickly and effectively.maintain clear and regular communication with all stakeholders in the supply chain.
