Job Description:

With your diverse capability in communicating with a range of stakeholders and high level of planning and problem solving, you will provide strategic advice in order to optimise the value of the mine in terms of ventilation.

You will also assist with the management, planning, implementation and monitoring of the underground mine ventilation and gas drainage systems to ensure effectiveness against legislation and site requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Formal qualifications as a Ventilation Officer being recognised by Queensland
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in an underground coal mining operation as well as specialist knowledge in ventilation.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across site and technical experts in our Corporate office
  • A strong background in ensuring hazard identification and risk assessment principles, coupled with the compliance of all ventilation matters relating to legislation and the site safety management system.
