Asset Reliability Inspections – Cockburn Central WA

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Vessel Inspector to join our Perth operations, with some intra- and interstate travel required. Base hours are 38 hours per week, with an expectation of occasional overtime, shift work, and shutdowns. This may include FIFO and DIDO regional work.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to support inspection activities across power generation, mining, and fabrication environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (API/ASME/AS/NZ)
- Conducting pressure vessel, tank, and heat exchanger inspections
- Visual inspection and reporting
- Performing internal and external inspections in accordance with API/ASME/AS/NZ standards
- Reviewing and verifying repair plans, weld procedures, and inspection test plans
- Witnessing pressure testing and verifying safety relief devices
- Identifying degradation mechanisms (corrosion, cracking, erosion, etc.) and recommending corrective actions
- Visual inspection and preparation of technical reports and inspection records
- Ensuring vendor and contractor compliance with codes and specifications
- Coordinating inspection activities during shutdowns and turnarounds
- Assisting in risk-based inspection (RBI) planning and updates
- Supporting NDT activities where relevant
Qualifications
- API 510 certification (mandatory)
- ASME Section I or equivalent competency
- AICIP, API 510 / 570 / 653 Certifications (advantageous, not essential)
- Demonstrated experience conducting pressure vessel inspections to API, ASME, and Australian Standards
- Understanding of ISO9001/ISO17025 requirements and responsibilities
- Previous experience working on large engineering projects or within heavy industrial environments
- Strong technical reporting skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Understanding of WH&S requirements and responsibilities
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
- A reasonable level of health and fitness
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
- A current manual Driver's License
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Live or be willing to relocate to Western Australia
- Must be an Australian citizen or have full working rights in Australia
