Veterinary Technician, RVT

Department: Anesthesia/Surgery

Location: Calgary, AB

TheCalgary Animal Referral and Emergency ( Centre is currently welcoming a full-time Surgery, Anesthesia Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our surgery service.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and compassion for the needs of their clients.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work efficiently on your own and with a team.

  • This position involves providing anesthesia for our board-certified surgeons. Being assigned daily to the surgeon who is operating, alternating procedures with another surgery technician.

  • Anesthesia with a ventilator and epidurals are common practice and are performed almost daily.
