Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily veterinary care and animal husbandry activities within a swine research facility.
  • Assist with animal anesthesia, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
  • Monitor animal health, behavior, and welfare, including feeding and routine health assessments.
  • Support research activities through accurate data collection and record keeping.
  • Maintain and service medical and facility equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and established SOPs.
  • Document treatments, procedures, and observations in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with veterinary and research staff to support ongoing transplant research initiatives.
