Position Overview:
This role reports to the COO – Operations and will be responsible for leading the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) Operations function. The incumbent will act as a people manager, providing strategic direction and oversight to the team, while also taking end-to-end ownership of select funds to ensure operational rigor, accuracy, and investor confidence.
The role requires strong partnership across internal teams and global stakeholders to support Lighthouse Canton’s AIF platform and ensure that operations scale seamlessly in line with business growth and regulatory expectations.

To build and lead a high-performing AIF Operations function that delivers institutional-grade execution, regulatory discipline, and seamless investor servicing, enabling Lighthouse Canton’s alternative investment platform to scale with confidence, precision, and operational excellence.
Role Type:
People Manager with individual fund responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
•Lead and manage AIF operations, ensuring high standards of accuracy and timeliness across fund accounting, reporting, and investor servicing.
•Oversee end-to-end execution across critical operational activities including onboarding, KYC, MIS, distributions, NAV, IRR, and carry calculations, ensuring clarity and consistency across investor classes.
•Ensure robust compliance with SEBI and applicable regulatory requirements, supported by strong governance, audit readiness, and effective internal controls.
•Partner closely with the investment, finance, and compliance teams to deliver high-quality investor communications, reports, and periodic disclosures aligned to institutional expectations.
•Engage and manage external vendors and service providers for fund accounting, reconciliations, tax-related requirements, and operational support, driving performance through defined SLAs and review cadences.
•Drive operational efficiency by strengthening processes, elevating reporting standards, and implementing automation and technology-led improvements to reduce manual interventions and improve scalability.
•Build, lead, and mentor the AIF operations team, fostering a culture of ownership, precision, and continuous improvement while ensuring depth of expertise and succession readiness.
Qualifications & Experience:
•CA / B.Com (Hons) with a strong foundation in accounting, audit, and taxation, with demonstrated ability to apply these principles in fund operations contexts.
•12–15 years of relevant experience across AIF / Private Equity / Debt Fund operations, ideally within regulated and institutional-grade environments.
•Strong understanding of AIF structures, private equity and debt fund constructs, including SPVs, feeder structures, and multi-layered fund setups.
•In-depth expertise in investor class structures, carry waterfalls, performance calculations, and regulatory requirements under ISFC and SEBI AIF guidelines.
•Familiarity with portfolio management and reconciliation systems; exposure to process automation and operational transformation initiatives will be a strong advantage.
