We are seeking a Vice President, Regulatory Compliance to lead and oversee Emerson’s global compliance strategy. In this role, you will shape and implement programs that ensure integrity, innovation, and adherence to regulatory standards worldwide. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will serve as a key member of the Chief Legal Officer Leadership Team and represent the Regulatory Compliance group at the highest level.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and execute strategies for Emerson’s global compliance program, including international trade, antitrust/competition, anti-corruption, third-party due diligence, data privacy, product cybersecurity, AI governance, record retention, and conflict minerals.
  • Advise senior executives—including the CEO, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer—on compliance matters, risks, and associated costs.
  • Lead and manage the Regulatory Compliance team to deliver practical, high-quality legal counsel aligned with business objectives.
  • Stay current on global regulatory trends, laws, and best practices to ensure Emerson remains proactive and compliant.
  • Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives to strengthen compliance programs.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee inquiries, investigations, audits, and interactions with regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the Regulatory Compliance budget and relationships with external counsel and experts.
  • Contribute to the vision and strategy of the Global Legal and Security Department as part of the leadership team.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Extensive legal experience (typically 15+ years) with substantive international regulatory compliance expertise
  • Strong knowledge of . and global compliance laws and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and navigate complex business environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available)
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally
  • Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree (. law degree strongly preferred)
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States
  • Our Culture and Commitment to You:
    Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $229,000 - $327,000 annually and eligible for bonus and equity, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
