The Apeejay Education Society, established by the leading Industrial House of Apeejay Stya in the year 1967, has built a rich heritage of nearly four and half decades in the field of quality education through a family of 29 institutions, i.e. 13 schools and 16 institutions of higher learning, in various states of the country, along with the Apeejay Stya University – India’s first Liberal Arts University focused on Technology & Research.
About the Role:
This incumbent will be primarily responsible for helping the Principal in academic administration and supervision, framing the timetable, and conducting the tests/examinations, organizing various school functions/fests. Also, providing support in managing finances, infrastructure, people, and other resources.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy appropriate Strategies, Action Plans - Short Term and Long Term to take forward School and build a truly world-class CBSE School.
- Help the Principal in preparing and executing the Institutional Plan / Perspective Plan / Forecasting Plan for the school and its overall development to enhance the performance of the school.
- Ensure processes are implemented for envisaged results in respect of Human Learning, Inculcation of Values and character building, Career, Psychological counseling, and taking care of children with special needs.
- Coordinate the total education program of the concerned department both curricular and co-curricular.
- Provide support to the Principal in the implementation of scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
- Assist the Principal in conducting orientation for new students and in arranging in-service workshops.
- Assist the Principal in quarterly/half yearly/yearly teachers’ evaluations and providing guidance to staff and students, and encouraging a positive climate in the school.
- Help the new teachers in the department to acclimatize themselves in understanding the ethos of the school and the way of functioning in the department.
- Organize demonstration lessons within the departments.
- Handle routine issues concerning Students, Parents, and Staff (Teaching / Non-Teaching) and timely meet them as and when required.
- Maintain an effective, positive working relationship with staff.
- Prepare and submit all reports to the Principal / concerned authorities/management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for continuous assessment, benchmarking, innovation, and implementation of appropriate processes to constantly improve.
- Effectively manage People, Infrastructure, and other resources.
- Take classes, develop rapport with the students, handle discipline issues in conjunction with the Principal
- Resolve conflicts between students, teachers, parents, or combinations of conflicts between various individuals.
- Any other assignment given by the Principal / Concerned Authorities / Management from time to time.
Job Knowledge (Prerequisite):
- Latest and updated knowledge on best practices, various teaching methodologies, and developments at the National / International level pertaining to academic administration.
- Expert knowledge of CBSE regulatory, academic, affiliation, and procedural issues.
Education Qualification:
- Excellent academic track record. Regular B. Ed., Graduation in any Teaching subject.
Experience:
- 3-5 years in the rank of Vice Principal/Sr. Coordinator in Schools of repute with student strength in the range of 2500 students and above. Preferred age group 40-50 years. Experience in managing Global level Schools preferred.
