Open to PERMANENT Contract Teachers currently employed with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education ONLY


The Halifax Regional Centre for Education is currently accepting applications for entry into the Vice Principal Pool.


Qualifications:


The minimum qualifications for consideration for the Vice Principal Pool are as follows:

  • Completion of HRCE Aspiring School Administrator Program (ASAP) within the last three years (or equivalent - special circumstances may exist at the Directors discretion) or have been in the Vice Principal Pool and their time has expired (maximum of 5 years or 3 years from the end date of an acting VP position of at least 5 months);
  • Masters Degree in Education or NSELC ILA Diploma (or proof of current enrolment in a Masters Degree in Education or the NSELC ILA program).
  • No disciplinary actions in the past five years.
