Job Description
Aptiv is seeking a talented video editor to help promote Aptiv’s brand, portfolio, career opportunities, and culture. The video editor will assist in planning, creating, processing, video editing, sound design, audio editing, and video post editing. The video editor is responsible for managing video for various Aptiv’s distribution channels.
**My Role**:
- Working with a team on storyboards to create the film or video product
- Setting up and tearing down cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
- Record footage independently, or depending on the size and nature of the event, work with a crew
- Video editing (cutting and editing footage; rearranging and splicing scenes that have already been shot and determining if scenes need to be re-shot; identifying/inserting visual effects as needed)
- Sound design
- Audio editing
- Preparing background film or “B” rolls
- Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video
