Video Editor

POSITION SUMMARY

• The Video Editor is responsible for the assembly of recorded footage, music, dialogue and text into a final video.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree or Diploma in film, video production, communications or related (a combination of education and experience can be substituted)
• 2+ years of professional experience working with video editing software (Adobe Premiere)
• Knowledge of Adobe CC products - After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder
• Solid understanding of basic visual concepts and storyboarding
• Strong eye for graphic design and typography
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Current knowledge of relevant digital video technology and standards
• Passion for technology and learning
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of export settings and codecs

JOB DUTIES

• Edit entertaining and compelling short form videos maintaining technical and aesthetic industry standards.
• Produce basic motion graphics, including text animation, simple transitions, and logo animations.
• Cohesively tell a story using tempo, transitions, music, sound effects, graphics, and voice.
• Adapt stylistically to work within existing brand parameters.
• Adhere to strict deadlines
• Management of digital assets ensuring proper labelling and file structure is maintained
