Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Intern

Snapshot / Role Overview We're seeking a VDC Intern in Kansas City Metro to gain hands-on experience with BIM modeling, clash detection, and digital construction coordination. Impact Learn cutting-edge BIM and VDC technologies. Support project teams with 3D modeling and coordination. Gain exposure to Revit, Navisworks, and construction software. Build skills for a career in virtual design and construction. Responsibilities Assist VDC technicians with 3D modeling in Revit. Support clash detection and coordination processes. Help generate fabrication drawings and material take-offs. Attend coordination meetings and document resolutions. Learn laser scanning and point cloud workflows. Assist with as-built documentation and model updates. Explore new BIM tools and software applications. Requirements Must-Haves: Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. Strong spatial reasoning and attention to detail. Reliable internet connection for remote work. Nice-to-Haves: Previous internship or co-op experience with BIM or construction. Familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam, or fabrication software. Interest in technology and construction innovation. Self-motivated with ability to work remotely. This internship is based in the Kansas City Metro area with remote work options available and runs during summer months with flexible scheduling.
