Job Title: Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and compassionate Bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Primary Care and Specialties, possesses excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, and is fully proficient in eClinicalWorks (eCW).

Note: This is a fully remote position that requires the employee to be on camera via video conferencing throughout the shift to facilitate face-to-face interactions with providers and patients. A professional appearance and environment are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support & Documentation

• Conduct virtual patient intake, including verifying medical history, medication lists, and allergies in eClinicalWorks.
• Assist providers during telehealth exams by documenting notes in real-time (scribing) and acting as a translator between English and Spanish when required.
• Manage medication refills, pharmacy requests, and prior authorizations.
• Triage patient concerns via phone or patient portal messages, escalating urgent matters to the provider immediately.
• Process lab results and diagnostic test orders in the EMR.

Administrative Duties

• Manage provider schedules, confirm appointments, and handle cancellations/rescheduling.
• Ensure all patient charts are updated and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
• Coordinate referrals to other specialists and follow up on consult reports.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and engagement while on video calls with the team and patients.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate or equivalent healthcare experience.
• Minimum (X) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a Primary Care or Multi-Specialty setting.
• Must have experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW). Proficiency in navigating the "Hub," telephone encounters, and e-prescribing is required.

Skills & Competencies

• Bilingual Fluency: Native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English (Medical Terminology in both languages is required).
• Virtual Presence: Comfortable working on-camera for the duration of the shift with a professional demeanor and attire.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology across Primary Care and common specialties (e.g., Cardiology, Dermatology, etc.).
• Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot basic connectivity issues.

Technical & Workspace Requirements

• Private Workspace: A quiet, distraction-free room with a neutral background and a door that closes (HIPAA compliance is strictly enforced).
• Internet: High-speed hardwired internet connection (Ethernet preferred, minimum (X) Mbps download/(X) Mbps upload).
• Computer: Desktop or Laptop meeting company speed requirements (Dual monitors are highly recommended for EMR efficiency).
• Audio/Visual: High-definition webcam and a professional noise-canceling headset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $8, $16,554.32 per month
