Role Summary:-

The Nutanix Administrator will be responsible for end-to-end operations of Nutanix HCI platforms across multiple enterprise customers managed by Cloud4C. The role focuses on SLA-driven incident management, proactive monitoring, upgrades, optimization, and customer communication , ensuring high availability and performance of critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Managed Services Operations

• Provide operational support for Nutanix environments under defined SLAs
• Handle incident, problem, and change management via ITSM tools
• Perform shift handovers, daily health checks, and operational reporting
• Act as escalation point for L1 support teams

Nutanix HCI Administration

• Manage Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism Element & Prism Central
• Perform VM provisioning, snapshot management, cloning, and lifecycle operations
• Execute LCM upgrades (AOS, AHV, firmware, BIOS) in production environments
• Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization

Multi-Tenant & Customer Environment Support

• Support multiple customer clusters simultaneously
• Adhere to customer-specific SOPs, SLAs, and compliance requirements
• Participate in customer bridge calls, incident reviews, and RCA discussions
• Provide technical inputs for service improvement initiatives

Incident, Problem & RCA Management

• Troubleshoot cluster failures, storage latency, VM performance issues
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive actions
• Coordinate with Nutanix TAC, OEMs, and internal teams
• Ensure timely closure of tickets with proper documentation

Backup, DR & Business Continuity

• Manage DR solutions (Leap, Near-Sync, Metro Availability)
• Support and monitor backup integrations (Veeam, HYCU, Commvault, etc.)
• Perform DR drills and failover/failback activities
• Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO commitments

Monitoring, Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Proactively monitor environments using Prism Central & third-party tools
• Automate routine tasks using Calm, APIs, PowerShell/Python
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
• Identify opportunities to reduce incidents and improve operational efficiency

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV & AOS
• Expertise in Prism Element & Prism Central
• Solid understanding of virtualization, storage, and networking
• Experience in production support environments
• Knowledge of Windows & Linux VM administration

Good to Have

• Experience in Managed Services / MSP / Cloud Operations
• VMware to AHV migration experience
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments
• Automation & scripting skills

Certifications (Preferred)

• Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
• Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP)
• ITIL Foundation (added advantage)
