VMC Operator || Bangalore

Industry: Two-Wheeler Manufacturing / Auto Components Location: Jigani Industrial Area (Bangalore) Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Shop Floor In-Charge Job Summary: The VMC Operator will be responsible for operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to manufacture precision components for two-wheeler applications. The role involves machine setup, operation, quality checks, basic troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and production standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate VMC machines to produce two-wheeler components as per drawings and specifications Perform machine setup, tool setting, and job changeovers as per production plan Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards, and work instructions Monitor machining parameters and ensure dimensional accuracy Conduct in-process quality inspections using gauges, vernier, micrometer, and measuring instruments Maintain FIFO and traceability of components Perform basic machine maintenance and report breakdowns to maintenance team Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, and quality standards on the shop floor Achieve daily production targets with minimum rejection and rework Coordinate with supervisors and quality teams for continuous improvement. Requirements Key Requirements / Qualifications: ITI / Diploma in Machining / Mechanical / Tool & Die / CNC 25 years of hands-on experience operating VMC machines in an automotive / two-wheeler manufacturing environment Knowledge of CNC programming basics (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi preferred) Strong understanding of cutting tools, fixtures, and materials Familiar with ISO / TS / IATF quality standards Willingness to work in rotational shifts Skills & Competencies: VMC machine operation & setup Drawing interpretation Precision measurement & quality control Problem-solving and attention to detail Teamwork and shop-floor discipline Benefits Salary : Upto 30k CTC Based on the last drawn Salary.
