VMware Consultant

is looking for VMware vSphere.

Location: Availability to work in Querétaro, Monterrey, Guadalajara or CDMX; hybrid mode.

Experience: +10 years

Required skills:

• Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Administer and optimize NetApp and HP Storage systems for performance, capacity, and reliability.
• Manage Veeam Backup & Replication for data protection, backup scheduling, and disaster recovery.
• Perform system administration tasks for Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, backup, and performance optimization.
• Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents, outages, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with application and network teams to support infrastructure requirements.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and change management.
• Participate in infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or system/database administration.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP and HP 3PAR Storage solutions.
• Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication administration.
• Solid experience in Windows Server and Linux system administration.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database management.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, Active Directory, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator
• NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA)
• Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
• Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator
