MUFG Global Service Private Limited:
Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
Position Title: Data & Cloud Security - VP

Position details:

  • To ensure effective management and control of Cyber Security, IT and information risk for MUFG EMEA entities by ensuring all appropriate Security, IT and relevant controls are in place, that these controls are being followed and that this is evidenced across the whole business and IT department.
  • The role will involve liaising with the other Cyber Security and IT functions within the MUFG EMEA business entities and MUFG group to ensure a consistent approach to all controls, standards and policies is adopted across the organization.
  • To ensure all necessary Cyber Security controls are in place and that an appropriate strategy to protect the firm from all Cyber, external and internal threats is defined and being implemented.
  • To develop, implement and manage compliance with appropriate IS and Cyber Security policies, standards, procedures.
  • To support the relationship and associated reporting requirements between Technology and internal and external bodies e.g. auditors, management committees, Tokyo head office, regulators (via Compliance), Operational Risk.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As Vice President Data & Cloud Security, you will provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for the organizations Data and Cloud Security function across banking and securities businesses. You will be accountable for defining the security vision, risk posture, and operating model, while enabling secure business growth and regulatory compliance.

  • Define and own the enterprise Data & Cloud Security strategy, aligned to business objectives, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
  • Act as an executive authority for cloud and data security risk decisions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Ensure organization wide alignment with NIST, ISO27001/27002, CIS, and regulatory frameworks, embedding security by design principles.
  • Provide executive oversight of cloud security tooling, including CSPM, DLP, container security, and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee security architecture governance for cloud, data platforms, applications, and third-party integrations.
  • Establish and mature cloud security standards, policies, and control frameworks across regions.
  • Serve as a senior stakeholder for regulatory, audit, and supervisory engagements, ensuring strong governance and timely remediation.
  • Partner with Technology and Business leaders to balance innovation, speed, and security.
  • Lead and mentor senior security leaders and managers, building a high performing security organization.
  • Oversee cyber risk reporting to senior management and executive committees.
  • Drive continuous improvement through metrics, automation, and industry benchmarking.
  • Represent the organization externally on cloud and data security matters where required.

Essential:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in IT, Cyber Security, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in Cyber Security, with significant leadership experience in cloud and data security.
  • Deep expertise in cloud security architectures across Azure, AWS, GCP, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong executive-level knowledge of regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements in financial services.
  • Proven experience defining enterprise security strategies and operating models.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Extensive experience managing large teams, budgets, and vendor relationships.
  • Strong decision making-capability in high risk and high-pressure environments.
  • Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex risk clearly and confidently.
  • Advanced certifications such as CCSP preferred.
