Role Overview
The VP – Distribution & Sales will lead and grow the entire distribution vertical of our dairy processing and food ingredients business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for pan-India sales, strategic partnerships, and international vendor tie-ups, covering the full cycle from product and vendor identification to commercialisation and successful market introduction. The role requires a strong strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and the ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with global suppliers and Indian customers.
Working Days - 6 Days (2nd and 4th Off)
Comp - Upto 80 Lacs
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Business Growth
· Define and execute the overall distribution and sales strategy for India
· Identify new product categories, segments, and growth opportunities
· Build and deliver annual business plans, revenue targets, and budgets
· Own the P&L for the distribution vertical
2. International Partnerships & Sourcing
· Identify and evaluate global ingredient manufacturers and suppliers
· Lead commercial negotiations, contracts, and onboarding
· Build long-term, strategic international partnerships
3. Sales & Market Development
· Lead the pan-India sales organisation
· Drive product commercialisation from supplier to Indian customer
· Develop and grow key customer relationships across food & dairy manufacturers
· Expand distribution reach, channels, and market penetration
4. Leadership & Execution
· Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing national sales team
· Work cross-functionally with procurement, quality, finance, and operations
· Ensure smooth execution from sourcing to sales to delivery
Ideal Candidate Profile
· MBA (mandatory)
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Dairy Science, Business, or Engineering preferred
· 15+ years of experience in Sales, Distribution, or Business Leadership
· Strong background in B2B food ingredients, dairy, FMCG, or industrial products
· Proven experience leading pan-India sales teams
· Exposure to international suppliers, imports, or global partnerships
· Strategic thinking with strong commercial and P&L ownership
· Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
· Ability to launch and scale new products in the Indian market
· Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and accountability
