Job Description
-Supervise the day-to-day activities of warehouse supervisors, warehouse keepers and helpers, in order to ensure that procedures are followed and duties are completed timely and to the required standards and takes appropriate corrective action when needed
- Monitor warehouse stock and ensures that inventory is stored in a First in First out (FIFO) basis in order to enable effective stock management.
- Monitor and maintains a clean, tidy and safe working environment in the warehouse, to avoid any unnecessary accidents and to project an organized and clean image that promotes more efficient work processes
- Collect, prepare and report data for returns, incoming and outgoing products to maintain accurate records, ensure claims can be processed and costs recovered.
- Supervise the process of received company’s products in order to ensure that the right quantity has been delivered and there are no defects or damage to the products.
- Take corrective actions for any discrepancies, damages or short receipts.
- Inspect, supervise, and randomly controls the loading and unloading processes, ensuring accuracy of the content of each trip and routing schedule to appropriate customers as per the planned schedule set in collaboration with the sales team, ensuring prompt and accurate product delivery to customers
- Prepare and submit for approval the warehouse annual budget that accurately represents anticipated costs (expenses, labor, trucks, etc.) and enable effective financial management and cost control following approval from Finance Department.
- Build and maintain good business relationships with employees, customers and other business partners, in order to avoid, mediate, or solve any employee or customer related problems, and to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the warehousing operations
- Comply with appropriate warehouse operating processes, along with health and safety standards and procedures, to ensure best practices are applied for the safety and security of peoples and goods
- Recommend, obtain approval, and implements improvement to the warehouse facilities, storage areas, tools, equipment’s, etc. to support the achievement of the highest standards of warehousing operations and ensure reliable warehousing services
- Oversee all security functions and operations, including surveillance, equipment’s, security guards, firefighting systems, etc., in order to minimize accidents and eliminate any risk or damage to warehouse property
- Submit monthly warehouse reports to the Logistics Department.
- Train and evaluate the warehouse team and ensure continuous feedback and follow-up
- Other duties as assigned
