Warehouse Officer - Mining
$120K - $140K+S | Permanent | FIFO 14/13 ex-Perth, WA
An established and growing mining operation in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Warehouse Officer to join its site-based team. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted supply chain operations, effective inventory control, and safe, efficient warehouse management.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Warehouse Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site warehouse, including purchasing support, inventory control, and logistics coordination. The position plays a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, ensuring zero stock-outs of critical consumables, and upholding high safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receipting, storage and issuing of all warehouse stock
- Maintain accurate inventory and catalogue data within ERP systems
- Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain inventory integrity
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with transport providers
- Schedule reagent and fuel deliveries in consultation with site teams
- Support site purchasing activities and expedite purchase orders
- Ensure safe handling and storage of dangerous goods in line with SDS and legislation
- Maintain warehouse, bulk storage and laydown areas to high housekeeping standards
- Resolve supplier discrepancies and non-conformances
- Support end-of-month and end-of-financial-year reporting requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring prior warehouse or inventory experience within a mining or resources environment and the ability to work autonomously on site.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within mining or resources
- Experience using ERP / Warehouse Management systems
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- High Risk Forklift Licence (up to 30T)
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Sound understanding of HS&E requirements
Desirable:
- PRONTO XI ERP experience
- Dangerous Goods Storage & Handling certification
- Crane licence (up to 12T)
- HR Driver’s Licence
- Qualifications in Purchasing, Warehousing or Materials Management
