job / project summary

There are three main areas of Unit s work:

- Maintenance and development of Oracle warehouse

- Maintenance and migration to MS Azure cloud IBM DB2 warehouse

- Building of new warehouse on MS Azure cloud using Databricks and DBT

Unit (around 20 people in total) is divided into two teams, one of them is focused on Oracle and second on IBM DB2 technology. MS Azure is used in both teams

Required skills & Tools

- Very good knowledge of SQL

- Advanced knowledge of IBM Datastage technology

- Advanced knowledge of Oracle warehouse technology

- Advanced knowledge of Azure and Databricks technologies

- Ability to test REST services

Nice-to-have skills & TOOLS

- Good knowledge of PL/SQL Developer

- Good knowledge of DBeaver

- Good knowledge of GIT

- Ability to use Jira/ Confluence (to create a TestPlans)

- RDP

- Excel

Responsibilities

- Testing data quality on Oracle and IBM DB2 platforms

- Testing data quality on Databricks and DBT

- Ability to test ETL flows

- Design and create manual test cases

- Performing manual and automated tests and documenting the results

- Reporting bugs and monitoring the process of their repair

- Report on test progress and monitor test case and defect metrics

- Supporting other QA Engineers in their tasks

- Sharing expertise knowledge with other QA Engineers

- Performing peer review of test cases

Certifications

Professional certificates (not entry level) in any of the required technologies are a big plus
