Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, ensuring accurate inventory handling, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and committed to operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including material handling, storage, and distribution.
• Monitor and guide warehouse staff to ensure productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper material rotation (FIFO).
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Perform system transactions in ERP/WMS (e.g., SAP) and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with production and supply chain teams to meet operational needs.
• Assist in identifying process improvements and support implementation.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times.
• Manage IMMEX compliance for import/export processes, including proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to Mexican customs regulations.
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and inventory control procedures.
• Basic proficiency with ERP or WMS systems (SAP experience a plus).
• Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment (certification required or ability to obtain).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Requirements
• Experience supervising or leading a small team in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with Lean principles or continuous improvement practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Experience with IMMEX program compliance and related customs processes.
