Job Description
Under supervision the environmental technician performs tasks focused on the operation of the two pH control buildings including wastewater process equipment maintenance and calibration. In addition, this position is responsible for daily wastewater sample collection and analyses.
Manages, tracks and packages hazardous waste, universal waste and recyclables generated at the plant. Retrieves split samples and daily data from the Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTP), collects samples from permitted discharge points and assists with collection of storm water samples for regulatory compliance, and organizes and packages environmental samples to be sent to outside laboratories for testing. Manages day to day operation of the pH control buildings including troubleshooting associated pH system issues.
