Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

On the job training will be provided.

Responsible for maintaining Plant Specific Permit Compliance, through the proper operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plant (“WWTP”) processes, equipment, and devices.

Description of Primary Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and economical operations of equipment in wastewater treatment plants to optimize process and protect public health.

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and operating devices.

Responsible for performing physical and chemical tests and maintaining and reviewing the operational process control parameters.

Responsible for the troubleshooting of plant equipment.

Prepares operational reports.

Responsible for pump stations (“SPS”).

General Development Participates in training and licensing goal program to obtain at minimum a Grade 2 Operator License.
