Job Description

We are accepting applications for two Waterworks Operator Students to join our Water Services team for a four-month term beginning in May. This position is a learning and support role assisting with the operation, maintenance, repair and upkeep of the water supply systems, equipment and related Regional District facilities and other specified local water service areas. Reporting to the Manager of Water Services and taking direction from the Senior Operator-Water Transmission and Distribution, the primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Installing, maintaining, monitoring, testing and cleaning waterworks equipment, water mains, hydraulic controls, facilities and other appurtenances required for the operation of the water systems;

  • Inspecting connections to the water system and advising the Senior Operator or Manager of Water Services of water leaks;
