About the Role

As a skilled web professional, you will immediately build websites for our journals. Partnering with multiple stakeholders globally, you will integrate curated content from editors and societies and incorporate it in a visually appealing way on our websites.

You will work to ensure that medical, nursing, dental, and life sciences content reaches our customers. We provide a means to showcase top research and disperse it to researchers and other users. 

Responsibilities

Create and update journal websites

  • Using a web content management system or text editor, create and update journal homepages and ancillary pages within brand and platform guidelines

  • Integrate new designs into existing websites

  • Make content freely available

  • Create and update image, audio, and video files

  • Create and modify templates

  • Check content and functionality of platform build

    • Meet team productivity standards and make improvements where possible

  • Review workflows, suggest improvements, and lead or participate in improvements

  • Create and maintain departmental procedures and documents

  • Create and maintain a database of metadata for each title

    • Communicate with stakeholders

  • Work with stakeholders to create and maintain web journal websites and resolve problems

    • Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience delivering web-based content

  • Familiarity with publishing and production-related fields

  • Comfortable in working from 2 PM to 11PM Shift

  •  Attention to details and deadlines, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate requests to user-friendly web pages

  • Experience working with stakeholders and managing stakeholder expectations

  • An understanding of HTML5 and CSS including the ability to create and modify as necessary
