Job Description

AL DÍA seeks a full-time, on-site web developer with Drupal site-building and responsive theme expertise to:

  • Develop, maintain and update our news platform based on Drupal PHP

  • Work closely with editorial, business development and events teams on new initiatives and continued improvements to the CMS

  • Develop custom Drupal plugins to add new fuctionality

  • Constantly improve performance of existing code

  • Ensure stability and up-time, and establish and maintain protocols regarding downtime or other website issues

  • Build, test, debug, troubleshoot and re-factor new and existing code, front- and back-end; customize website templates within a nested architecture

  • Familiarity with third party APIs, analytics and creating custom experiences based on user data

  • Interest in journalism and community engagement
