A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join their multi-disciplinary Capability Delivery Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver secure, public-facing web applications and contribute to Australia’s national cyber security initiatives. The successful Web Developer will work across key projects supporting the ReportCyber capability, enhancing accessibility, performance, and user engagement. The Web Developer will be offered an initial 12-month contract with two 12-month extensions, open to candidates in ACT or NSW, with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.

The successful Web Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Design, build, integrate, and document software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with business and product owners to refine user requirements using Agile methods.
• Implement and maintain automated testing and support continuous improvement processes.
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues, ensuring compliance with ASD policies and standards.

To be successful, the Web Developer will demonstrate:

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6), including modern build tools and unit testing frameworks.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express with secure authentication workflows.
• Proven ability to deliver within Agile, Kanban, and Scrum frameworks.
• Familiarity with UX implementation for public-facing applications and SPA development (Redux/MobX).
