Webmaster / Full Stack Developer (Remote)

Hours: Full-time

Compensation: $500 to $650 usd per month (retainer) 

Who We Are:

Just Baseball is one of the fastest-growing digital sports media brands in North America. We cover Major League Baseball with daily content, podcasts, social media, and in-depth analysis. We’re obsessed with the game, and our brand is growing quickly. We need a web expert to keep our platform firing on all cylinders.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a jack-of-all-trades web developer to manage, maintain, and improve our site — everything from putting out technical fires to improving SEO, fixing bugs, and building better UX.

This is not an agency gig . We’re looking for a dedicated webmaster to become part of the Just Baseball team, who can grow with us, keep our tech side lean, fast, and SEO-friendly, and also understand UX design. 

⚾️ Responsibilities:

Website Maintenance & Stability

• Monitor uptime, fix broken links, resolve bugs, and troubleshoot performance issues
• Update themes, plugins, and WordPress core as needed

SEO & Indexing

• Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals
• Fix crawl/indexation issues (Google Search Console, Ahrefs, etc.)
• Assist with schema markup, sitemap management, and internal linking

Front-End & UX Improvements

• Improve readability, mobile optimization, and design flow across templates
• Work with editorial and design teams to launch new content types

Back-End & WordPress Work

• Build or adjust WordPress templates (ACF experience a plus)
• Optimize loading speed, image compression, and plugin load

Tech & Analytics Stack

• Troubleshoot GA4, Google Tag Manager, and events tracking
• Implement tracking pixels or third-party integrations (e.g., Mailchimp, affiliate tools)
