Position Summary

The Wedding Specialist provides an extremely high level of professional service and customer focus to all Weddings and associated events and the clients which, in turn, maximizes hotel revenue and profitability by providing administrative and planning support to the Event Sales & Planning department. 


The Role

  • Sell, plan and manage Weddings and associated events from initial contact with the client to on the day attendance.
  • Follow all Capella Events Standards when assisting the department to prepare proposals and contracts, providing administrative support and creating internal Event Confirmations.
  • Driving sales by preparing accurate and timely proposals and contracts covering venues, menus and accommodation.
  • Drive Wedding and social event revenue results for Capella Sydney and The Lands by Capella.
  • Be present on the day to ensure smooth execution of each Wedding or associated event.
  • Conduct site inspections of our venues ensuring brand standards, service quality and guest satisfaction are upheld.

 

Talent Profile

  • Hospitality or Sales/ Marketing tertiary qualifications are preferred.

  • Experiences:2-year previous wedding sales / planning / coordination experience in luxury hotels/resorts or hospitality sector.

  • Knowledge of Hotel Property and Catering Management Systems (OPERA & Delphi).

  • Proficient in Social Tables, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • In-depth understanding of events processes and execution requirements.

  • Valid working rights in Australia.
