JOB SUMMARY
To perform ASME and/or PED code specified welding such as: MIG and TIG welding processes, joining various metals, and joint designs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
For MIG and TIG welding, select proper tooling and fixturing required to run the job.Set up the welding machine to the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) specified settings to achieve the proper weld fusion and penetration in the weld joint.Select proper tooling and fixturing required to run the job.Inspect welds for defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.Make required repairs as necessary to defective weld areas or defective materials.Weld or repair any broken and special fixturing and tooling as needed.Notify quality control representatives and supervision of any parts with defects.Coordinate with production department on keeping inven...
