About the Role

As a Wi-Fi Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and debugging reusable software components to enable Wi-Fi capabilities in In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems across Linux and Android platforms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review requirement specifications and collaborate with the requirements team to resolve issues and sign off specifications.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for high-level design, detailed design, and test plans for software modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Wi-Fi software modules for IVI systems on Linux and Android platforms.
  • Work with internal teams and external chipset vendors to resolve dependencies and debug issues across multiple layers of the Wi-Fi stack.
  • Perform static analysis on software components and address detected issues.
  • Support board bring-up, hardware calibration, and hardware-level debugging in coordination with hardware teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues across the development, stability, and maintenance phases.
  • Develop and integrate automation tools/scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Execute development testing, prepare test reports, and provide efficient documentation on development and issue resolution progress.


Technical Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 6+ years in developing software components in Wi-Fi technology for Linux and Android platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Java programming.
  • Solid understanding of Wi-Fi standards 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax and security protocols such as WPA2 and WPA3.
  • Development experience in Wi-Fi Access Point (AP), Wi-Fi Station (STA), and Wi-Fi Direct features.
  • Hands-on experience with Android AOSP/Linux-based infotainment build environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Linux and Android network stack.
  • Proficient in capturing and analyzing Wi-Fi sniffer logs and pcap files.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi Alliance certification and compliance testing.
  • Exposure to in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) system integration and validation is a plus.
