Role: Windows Administrator
Employment Type: Full‑time
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Windows & VMware Administrator with deep hands‑on experience in enterprise Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, patching, incident/problem management, and datacenter operations. The role involves supporting large‑scale server estates, ensuring platform availability, and handling escalations under a 24×7 support framework.
Mandatory skill set : Office 365, MS Exchange/VM ware/ Windows- Citrix
Key Responsibilities
Windows Server Administration
- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022/2024 environments.
- Perform daily OS health checks, troubleshoot server down issues, disk failures, service crashes, CPU/memory spikes, and performance problems.
- Handle Active Directory administration, DNS, DHCP, GPO creation & troubleshooting.
- Perform Windows patching, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Manage user/service accounts, home directories, SFTP shares, and access rights
Must‑Have Technical Skills
- 4+ years in Windows Server administration (2012–2019), AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
- Strong VMware skills: ESXi 5.x–7.x, v Center, HA, DRS, FT, snapshots, templates.
- Strong troubleshooting of OS issues: CPU/memory leak analysis, BSODs, driver issues, service failures.
- Experience with storage technologies (FC/i SCSI), LUN provisioning, datastore expansion.
- Hands‑on with v Motion/Sv Motion, VM migrations, P2 V tools.
- Strong knowledge of patching tools and vulnerability remediation workflows.
- Familiarity with backup systems, VSS, snapshot lifecycle management.
- Good understanding of server hardware (Dell/HP UCS), ILO/KVM consoles.
- Experience in incident/change/problem processes (ITIL).
Good‑to‑Have Skills
- Exposure to Azure/AWS VM administration.
- Knowledge of VMware Update Manager, ESXi remediation, cluster hardening.
- Knowledge of AD DFS, file server troubleshooting.
- Experience in automation (Power Shell, basic scripting).
