Overview

We are looking for a WordPress & PHP Developer to take ownership of site-level issues across a portfolio of live client websites.

This is not a greenfield build role. You will be working on existing WordPress sites, some of which are messy, broken, hacked, or underperforming. You must be comfortable diagnosing problems under pressure and fixing other people’s code safely.

The goal of this role is simple: keep WordPress sites stable, secure, and functioning properly.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and fix broken WordPress websites (500 errors, white screens, admin issues, plugin conflicts)
  • Debug PHP issues in themes and plugins
  • Clean hacked WordPress sites and remove malware manually (not just running security plugins)
  • Secure WordPress installations and prevent reinfection
  • Work directly with MySQL / phpMyAdmin to diagnose and fix database issues
