Responsibilities


The working student will devise and implement the RF measurement scenarios with off the shelf components. The measurement data is to be processed, updated, and presented for further decision-making.

Your tasks will be to plan the measurements with the off-the-shelf components (antennas, waveguides, amplifiers etc.) and measurement setup (mainly VNA and spectrum analyzer).

  • Help associates and researchers towards building a test setup
  • Perform RF measurements in a reliable manner (S-parameters, de-embedding etc.)
  • Automate the process to acquire data
  • Analyze/process the data and make reports for further evaluation and decision-making

    • Qualifications


  • Electrical Engineering major with focus on RF engineering: courses, labs and/or RF related project
  • Good knowledge of microwave engineering and RF measurement basics, especially at mmWave (76-81 GHz)
  • Familiarity with antenna pattern measurement
  • Prior experience of using RF measurement equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, calibration kit, RF power meter etc.) is preferred
  • Good understanding of the automation process, and scripting languages such as Python and/or Matlab
  • Precise, attentive to details, curious, and self-driven
