About the Role
This is a full time, fixed term (15 months) role reporting to the General Manager, People & Experience. This role will be responsible for leading a key project to review our employment arrangements including regulatory and Award requirements, working practices, and employment conditions, policies and procedures; identifying areas that may require change or improvement; and facilitating change management as needed, as well as assisting generally where required across People & Experience.
What you will do
- Lead a key project to review the employment law and regulations, Awards and employment conditions applicable and/or relevant to Tattarang and associated entities
- Review working practices, rostering and/or scheduling arrangements, TOIL, timekeeping and payroll practices (and records as necessary)
- Identify any areas requiring change and improvement, initiating and facilitating change management and solutions with the relevant stakeholders to ensure practices are aligned with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the People team and broader stakeholders as needed to lead and drive the project in a timely and efficient manner
- Generally provide related support and assistance to the People team to ensure the effective implementation of strategy and process
About you
Degree/Diploma in Workplace Relations, HR, Law or equivalent, combined with current understanding of all legislative and regulatory requirements.
Subject matter expertise regarding Australian Workplace Relations & employment law and regulation, contracts of employment and employment policies and procedures. Proven experience in improving outcomes and driving impact in this area. Demonstrated knowledge of related issues and understanding of the complexity and challenges associated with Workplace Relations, including risk identification and management. Proven ability to problem‑solve complex organisational challenges.
5+ years’ experience in a relevant Workplace Relations, legal or HR consulting role within a medium or large sized organisation.
