Workshop Controller

Rockingham Toyota is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our high-volume service workshop.

This is a key leadership role, ideal for a senior technician or current foreman who enjoys controlling workflow, leading people and driving quality outcomes, not just turning spanners.

About the Role

As Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the workshop. You’ll be the critical link between technicians, service advisors and management, ensuring the right jobs go to the right people, at the right time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Controlling and allocating daily workflow to maximise technician productivity
• Loading jobs accurately based on skill level, capacity and priority
• Managing capped price servicing flow and identifying opportunities for additional work
• Monitoring job progress to reduce delays, rework and bottlenecks
• Acting as the key point of communication between the workshop and advisor teams
• Maintaining workshop safety, cleanliness and compliance with Toyota standards
• Supporting the Service Manager and Assistant Service Manager to achieve daily and monthly targets
• Driving first-time fix quality and guest satisfaction outcomes

About You

We’re looking for someone who is respected in the workshop , calm under pressure and confident making decisions.

You will ideally have:

• A Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
• Strong hands‑on mechanical knowledge and dealership experience
• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Foreman or Senior Technician ready to step up
• The ability to prioritise, problem‑solve and manage competing demands
• Excellent communication skills with technicians and advisors alike
