Job Description
We are assessing XWiki as a knowledge base solution. We have managed to run it locally via Docker Compose but having trouble configure even the default flavour. The functionalities we are looking get out of XWiki include:
- Mature Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system: pages can be shared publicly or to subset of users with varying permissions on those pages, e.g., read-only, can comment but not edit, full collaboration.
- Custom approval workflow capability: e.g., changes to a page needs to go through an approval workflow before being published and live for viewing
- Rich Formatting Options for content: we need a editor that can have Confluence-like editing experience, especially with tables that can be sorted, and columns and rows orders can be changed, slash commands, badges, embedded media
- File Upload to external S3-compatible storage: this include large files and automatic antivirus scanning
