    About the role

    Our Perth Distribution Centre is the home to several
    specialist branches/teams, taking advantage of grouped logistics, repair and
    maintenance functions. In the DC, we have our Access, Earthmoving & Site
    Service, Traffic, Power & Distribution and Pumps & Water Management specialist businesses. You will be
    responsible for supporting the operations of the DC by performing general
    yard duties, including;

  • Work closely with drivers to prepare, load and unload equipment onto company vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient handling
  • Assist with yard operations, including equipment movement, order picking and staging equipment for dispatch
  • Complete equipment “check in” and “check out” inspections in line with Ready For Hire standards
  • Load and unload equipment at customer sites, ensuring safe and efficient handling
  • Clean, inspect and prepare equipment to ensure it is safe, functional and ready for the next hire
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard and branch environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment

    • About you

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced yard environment and supporting drivers with daily operations
  • Strong focus on safety, with the ability to follow procedures and use correct manual handling and load restraint practices
  • Reliable and practical, with a hands-on approach to preparing, moving and loading equipment
  • Able to work well as part of a team, communicating clearly with drivers and branch staff
  • Physically capable of manual tasks involved in loading, unloading and equipment preparation
  • Good attention to detail when completing equipment inspections and Ready For Hire checks
  • Willing to pitch in with yard cleanliness and general branch maintenance as required
  • Forklift licence essential
