Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Zero Trust Solutions Architect to support a major defense program located in San Antonio, TX through a hybrid work arrangement. The Zero Trust Solutions Architect will lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Zero Trust security frameworks, ensuring secure identity, access, and cloud integration across enterprise environments. This role requires strong expertise in Azure, Active Directory, and ICAM tools, along with a proven ability to architect solutions from cradle to grave.

Responsibilities of the Zero Trust Solutions Architect include:

  • Design and implement Zero Trust security architectures leveraging Azure, Active Directory, and ICAM principles.
  • Lead development of end-to-end solutions, including roadmap creation, framework design, and program-level integration.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams on Zero Trust principles, identity management, and secure cloud adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build solutions from ground up—not just transitions—including support for proposal orals and solutioning activities.
  • Integrate domain services and identity governance tools to enforce least privilege and secure access across hybrid environments.
  • Develop documentation, architecture diagrams, and lifecycle plans for Zero Trust implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security standards and organizational policies throughout solution delivery.

    • Qualifications of the Zero Trust Solutions Architect include:

  • 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree OR 10+ years of experience without a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role with a solutions framework mindset.
  • Strong expertise in Azure, Active Directory, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with ICAM tools and identity governance solutions.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required; Azure certifications strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead technical teams and drive adoption of Zero Trust principles across enterprise environments.
  • Experience building solutions from cradle to grave, including roadmap development and program-level integration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and hybrid architectures.

    • Compensation for the Audio Visual Engineer includes:

  • Salary Range: $100,000-185,000 **depending on experience**
