Experience: 15–20 years total experience, with at least 4–5 years in a Zonal or Regional Sales leadership role
Industry Preference: Adhesives or allied building materials industry preferred
Sales Background: Mandatory experience in Channel Sales
Team Handling: Proven experience managing teams of RSMs and ASMs
Geographical Exposure: Must have managed multi-state operations covering a minimum of 3–4 states within the zone
Language Skills: Fluency in English and relevant regional languages
Requirements
Roles & Responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Leadership
- Own overall topline growth across Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary sales for the entire zone.
- Lead and manage multi-state operations through a team of Regional Sales Managers and Area Sales Managers.
- Design and execute zonal sell-out initiatives, promotional programs, and market activation plans.
- Drive Key Account Management for distributors, key dealers, institutional customers, and key contractors.
- Achieve zonal sales growth through structured planning, market indexing, conversion tracking, and effective deployment of resources.
- Identify and scale core and focus products by analysing market trends and ensuring execution through the regional sales team.
- Increase market share through data-driven insights, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to ensure sustainable growth.
- Review business performance metrics regularly to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Collections & Credit Control
- Ensure healthy receivables and strong cash flow across the zone.
- Monitor distributor payments and ensure timely collections with minimal or zero overdue exposure.
Customer & Channel Excellence
- Enhance customer and consumer experience by ensuring complaint resolution within defined turnaround times.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
Distributor Network Management
- Build, expand, and sustain a strong distributor network across the zone.
- Identify coverage gaps and improve market reach through structured distributor onboarding and engagement.
- Drive distributor loyalty programs and initiatives to support partner growth and long-term retention.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Lead accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with Regional Sales Managers to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Coordinate closely with supply chain and commercial teams to align demand plans with business requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including Retail Sales, Product Teams, Services, Commercial, and Marketing to improve sales execution and service delivery.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of RSMs and ASMs.
- Provide regular coaching, performance reviews, and development feedback.
- Ensure optimal manpower utilization to achieve zonal business goals.
- Build leadership capability within the team to support long-term growth and succession planning.
