The Program will commence in the autumn of 2026 and run for up to one year, depending on candidate availability. You will be assigned to the European Economics team where you will undertake work which directly supports delivering exceptional research to our clients. There will also be opportunities to undertake additional research projects, based on analysts interests and current team requirements. This internship is available in our Morgan Stanley Frankfurt office which is our EU Hub. As part of this programme you will have the opportunity to work closely with the London based team as well. Training Program You will receive on-the-job training and benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of projects while being exposed to a wide range of roles and aspects of the Research department, as well as the Sales and Trading business. Role and Responsibilities Analysts are hired onto the European Economics Research team where they remain for the duration of their program. As part of the internship, you will: Work closely with the economists on the team, helping them to cover the Euro area, UK or CEEMEA economies, and assist them with daily tasks as well as longer-term projects. Assist with maintaining and improving the analytical tools used by the team for forecasts. Provide support on client requests including updating charts and tables, as well as presentations. Work primarily with macroeconomic data, but also financial data. Contribute to quantitative analyses and research publications on the back of economic data releases and policy events. Qualifications and Skills You have a masters degree in economics, finance, econometrics, mathematics, statistics, social sciences or any related field or are close to completion. You have an interest in macroeconomics, particularly with a focus on the Euro area, UK or CEEMEA. You have strong analytical and numerical skills that put you at ease with macroeconomic or financial market data. You have experience and a sound knowledge of a programming language, in particular related to data manipulation and econometric analysis. You are results-driven, and perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines. Application Process and Deadline Please note that applications for this programme will first be reviewed in January 2026. We aim to review all applications within a timely manner, however our response times may vary due to high volumes.
